Slant’d is a nonprofit independent publishing house empowering AAPI creatives in pursuit of their wildest dreams.

As a layout designer, I helped manage artist workflows and deadlines to work within our production schedules. For the three stories, I facilitated a creative kick-off to align mood, themes, and sensitive content handling with the artist and writer. After working through the sketch phases, I then went into layout design—collaborating with the illustrators on scale and composition from sketch to final print under the art direction and guidance of the magazine’s art director, Michelle.

I developed the visual identity for Rotten Tomatoes’ Critics Program, supporting both individual approved critics and accredited publications. I designed a comprehensive suite of assets, including social media verification badges, editorial headers, promotional content on social and video, printed assets for film screenings, and exclusive merchandise.

aRTi is Rotten Tomatoes’ AI assistant which will tell you where certain films and shows are available for streaming or purchase as well as other personalized recommendations. I developed the logo and chat icon for the app, integrating the signature "sparkle" motifs to intuitively denote AI functionality.

From the most iconic scenes that define a director’s legacy to the standout performances that leave a lasting imprint on film history, ‘Critical Thinking’ provides a comprehensive exploration of the diverse elements that contribute to a film’s Tomatometer score. I developed the graphics package that includes the title card sequence, lower thirds, on-screen informational graphics, picture-in-picture frames, background design for footage, and a list animation to accompany the critics’ top films.

I helped refresh Fandango at Home’s app store presence with new UI screens, with the copy developed by our marketing team, I paired our core offerings with the different screens and by added a subtle background gradient to enhance the swipe experience.

I developed the graphics package for RT’s Watch List, an exclusive interview series featuring major TV and streaming talent. This suite includes the title card, lower thirds, picture-in-picture frames, and end cards. To reinforce the show's concept, I designed the logo with a stylized "S" that mimics a physical list, visually prompting viewers to track the promoted content.

The Rotten Tomatoes Awards is an annual tradition to hand out trophies for the best-reviewed movies and TV series of the year. I created the branding for this awards celebration from the previously named “Golden Tomato Awards” and worked collaboratively with our editorial and social teams to curate the website and our social channels with custom graphics for each winner for all 30 categories.

FANDANGO AT HOME GIFT CARDS

Following Fandango’s acquisition of Vudu, I was tasked with redesigning Fandango at Home’s physical gift cards for major retailers like Best Buy, CVS, and Target. The new layouts use the brand’s colors in a nice sunset-like gradient and a prominent, an enlarged "F" from our logomark to stand out on those crowded retail displays. This visual refresh successfully establishes our brand presence alongside the competing streaming services on the stand.

Awards Tour is an in-depth interview series hosted by Jacqueline Coley which chronicles all the award show happenings. I developed the graphics package for the show which includes a title card, lower thirds, picture-in-picture screens, backgrounds for footage, and end cards. Using the branding from the package, I additionally built out promotional assets, guides, and other templates to promote the awards on our social media pages and Awards Tour hub on the Rotten Tomatoes’ site.

‘Shaun of The Dead” celebrated it’s 20th anniversary in 2024 and to ring in this special event, we connected with super fans James and Olivia Pickering and ‘You’ve Got Red on You’ author Clark Collis who gave us the grim and gory details on why they love this iconic movie. 


Ahead of ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3’, we spoke with superfan Linda Carol Trotter to hear the story of how she found her big fat Greek family and how the beloved franchise introduced her to Greek culture and ultimately influenced her real-life Greek wedding.



Ahead of the release of Ethan Coen’s ‘Drive-Away Dolls’, Jeffrey “The Dude” Peterson introduces us to the dedicated fandom of the Coen brother’s cult classic “The Big Lebowski” that spans fan festivals, impersonators, comic books, and the world’s laziest religion that reminds us all to “just take it easy, man!"


In honor of the upcoming release of ‘Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale’, we met up with Heather and Tim McMillan who are Downton Abbey’s BIGGEST fans. For them, Downton Abbey isn’t just a series, it’s a love story woven into every chapter of their lives. When Heather and Tim joined us in London, we had one last twist in store… the ultimate Downton Abbey surprise of a lifetime. 


‘Movie People’, a series that celebrates movie lovers and their special connection to the films and filmmakers they love co-produced with ‪Focus Features.‬ Working closely with the producers and editor of the show, I developed the graphics package which includes a title card, lower thirds, picture-in-picture screens, backgrounds for footage, and end cards. After developing the package, I storyboard the title card and give direction for transitional elements to our animator for the final delivery.
